While playing around on Google Images for very important work-related business, we stumbled upon this card from 1888 for a young lad named “ESTERBROOK” who played firstbase for INDIANAPOLIS and no doubt enjoyed Yum Yum tobacco products.
POLL: Isn’t It About Time Baseball Does A 1888 Throwback Uniform Day?
↵
↵ANYWHO, the more important point here is look at that freaking uniform. It’s a button-up that utilizes some sort of animal hide in place of buttons, with a collar and a tie. ESTERBROOK played baseball in a tie! MLB has no choice but to bring this uniform style back, if for only one throwback day. I mean, the Padres wear army fatigues a handful of times each year, for god’s sake.
↵What say you? Best idea, or the GREATEST IDEA?
