Losing game one to the Boston Celtics on a Ray Allen game-winner is pretty bad. Losing Chauncey Billups to a knee injuryfor the rest of the series would be even worse for the New York Knicks, though that's still up in the air for now. The New York point guard suffered a strained knee ligament in the game's final minute while driving for a layup, with Anthony Carter filling in for the rest of the game.
Chauncey Billups Injury: Knicks Guard Strained Knee In Celtics Series Opener
It's not yet clear whether he'll be able to return for game two, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19.
Billups produced 10 points and four assists in 35 minutes on the day. Though his absence was brief, it was apparent, as Carmelo Anthony could've been provided a better opportunity for the last shot than the one he got -- a contested deep three.
