Nigerian international defender Olubayo Adefemi has been killed in a car accident in Greece on Monday, according to police. The 25-year-old, who played for Skoda Xanthi F.C. in the Greek Super League, also had appearances for Hapeol Tel Aviv, Rapid Bucharest, and Bordeaux in a seven year European career. Apparently Adefemi was on his way to finalise wedding plans when he lost control of his car in poor conditions on Egnatia Odos in northern Greece near Kavala, causing his vehicle to overturn. According to Greek police, Adefami was not wearing a seatbelt.
