Manchester United are the most valuable club in world football, according to American business magazine Forbes. In their most recent list of sports franchise valuations, due to be published in May, the Premier League club was the only side to crack the £1B mark, well ahead of rivals Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Here's the full top ten:
Forbes List: Manchester United, David Beckham Tops

Why, that’s the ten biggest clubs in European football! I guess the only surprise is that Barcelona have dropped a slot despite having an incredibly successful season on the pitch, with Bayern Munich dropping the Catalans down to fifth spot on the list. All in all though, it’s about what you’d expect.
Player earnings are also out, and who else would lead the way than former England captain David Beckham, who continues to outshine far superior talents on account of being English and playing in America. Beckham, who is reportedly earning £24M a year, is closely followed by Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo at £23M and Barcelona's Lionel Messi at £19M.
