It's another elimination game for the Chicago Blackhawks, and as they head into Rogers Arena for Game 5 against the Vancouver Canucks, they'll try to beat Roberto Luongo early and often in their attempt to stay alive in the 2011 NHL playoffs.
Blackhawks Vs. Canucks, Game 5: Chicago Looks To Push Back Tee Times With Another Win
It's all about getting to the Canucks goaltender early if you're Chicago. He's shown over the first three games of this series that if he's able to get into a rhythm, he's almost impossible to beat. But in Game 4, the lone win for Chicago thus far, Dave Bolland scored early and it led to a an absolute rout, 7-2.
Of course, a lopsided score like that is unlucky on Thursday night, but that doesn’t mean a hot start isn’t important if you’re Chicago. There’s a belief in that locker room now, after the blowout win, that they have the momentum and they have the ability to win a game tonight.
When you’re the defending champs and you’ve beaten your opponent in the playoffs in two straight seasons, that’s just enough to believe in an impossible comeback.
