Braves Vs. Giants: Tim Lincecum Sets Career High For Walks In 5-2 San Francisco Loss

On Saturday in San Francisco, Atlanta scored five runs against a historically wild Tim Lincecum and got a superb start from Tim Hudson, en route to a 5-2 win over the World Series champion Giants.

Lincecum struggled to throw strikes all afternoon, walking a career-high six batters and allowing a three-run seventh inning that knocked him out of the game.

Hudson scattered eight hits and two runs over 8-2/3 innings, and was lifted for Craig Kimbrel only after allowing a run in the ninth. Kimbrel came in and got pinch hitter Buster Posey to fly out for a two-pitch save.

Atlanta got three RBI from Martin Prado, and two from Brian McCann; Nate McLouth walked twice, singled, and scored three of the Braves' runs.

The Giants couldn't muster much offense outside of Pat Burrell, who went 3-for-4 and scored twice.

The Giants’ loss drops them to 10-10 on the season. With the win, the Braves move to 10-12 and have won the first two games of the series. The final game of the series is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.
