NFL Draft Scout the gold standard for draft sites

Anyone who runs an NFL Draft site and is being honest will tell you no one does it better than NFL Draft Scout.

Rob Rang, Chad Reuter, Brian Hitterman and the rest of the staff at NDS have made the site the gold standard for NFL Draft news, opinion and detailed analysis.

Another thing NFL Draft site managers know is that providing analysis when you’re given special access by college or NFL teams is challenging.
“Scouting from outside the league is very, very difficult,” Reuter told me at the NFL Scouting Combine. “We’re not privy to all the information so we just try and do the best we can. I know that before I worked with them, there was a reason I wanted to work with them.”

Reuter has been working full time for Draft Scout for four years and analyzing the NFL Draft for a decade.
In the last few years, Draft Scout has begun to team with Lindy’s to produce a print magazine. Of all that have been lining magazine racks this time of year, they have the best one. The scouting profiles in the magazine are lengthy and in-depth, while others go with a bland bulleted format.
“We try to be more in-depth, but there’s also only a certain amount of words you can use,” Reuter said. “You can’t make them 10 pages each. But we try to make them informational, but not too arcane or boring.”
While the magazine is great, and you should pick it up if you haven’t, it’s the site that makes them the best.
Draft Scout is a true year-round site. Some sites say as much, but don’t provide information during the down months of the year. Before the college football season even begins, the site offers a preseason preview already packed with player evaluations.
The hard work by the NDS team paid off a few years ago when CBS Sports offered to partner with the site.
“Any time you get a chance to work with a big partner with that, it’s good for everybody,” Reuter said. “They get good information, I hope, and being part of CBS that way is great for us. We get a lot of exposure. Despite the way things are going toward the Internet, CBS is a respected name in the sports world. So any time you can affiliate yourself with that, it’s great. ”
Great. With NFL Draft Scout, that’s a fitting qualifier.
