SB Nation’s Alligator Army asks, in the wake of star Janoris Jenkins’ ousting, whether the University of Florida should change its five-strike drug policy, the most lenient in the SEC. Given the Gators’ recent records in football, we don’t particularly see why. It’s not hurting their recruiting, and it’s certainly helping their W-L record. What, knowing they'll get five chances to get caught in a drug-related mishap without having it permanently affect their athletic careers is supposed to be a deterrent to young men entering college?
