Ozzie Guillen Tweets During Game, Fine Must Be Next

Wednesday night in New York, White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen got ejected in the first inning by plate umpire Todd Tichenor, for arguing a called third strike against Paul Konerko.

Instead of ripping first base out of the ground or throwing a pile of bats upon the field, Guillen registered his protest the modern way ... Twitter:

First this:

This one going to cost me a lot money this is patetic

Then this:

Today a tough guy show up a yankee stadium

Hey, English isn’t Ozzie’s first language and anyway those buttons on the phone are too small.

You have to give him credit for his candor.

Presumably there will be a fine, though. And while there’s no rule about managers and coaches and social media -- as there are for players -- that might well change now. The funny thing is, until last night probably nobody every figured any need for such a rule. Ozzie Guillen: groundbreaker.
