I just love Martinsville. Those long straightaways and paperclip-like corners with the big yellow curbing on the inside so no-one can cut the corners - although they were originally put in by the owner to stop the drivers from driving on his grass - with little banking just make it a good racer’s race track.

Guaranteed that each team puts in enough extra steel tubing in the front and back end of the cars to at least protect the important parts a little better because of all of the beating and banging that will go on today.
Look for a bump n' run on almost every lap. Even NASCAR writer Dustin Long tweeted this morning, "Green flag is at 1:13 so do the math ... 3-5 minutes later? LOL".
Tires have been a bit of a concern this week and it is rumored that NASCAR will allow teams to have an extra set of tires for this race and that there will be no competition yellow flag to check tire wear.
With that being said here is the starting line-up (via nascar.com). As is almost always the case look for the winner of today’s race to come from the top half of the field.
See you all on the other side, in the comment area of course!
