Walden Replaces Rodney As Angels’ Closer

Jordan Walden is the Angels' new closer, at least until Fernando Rodney "gets back in touch with some things" (his inner three-year-old? his sense of the irreverent? his love for high-school productions of Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals?).

↵Walden throws a million miles an hour and has 28 strikeouts in 18 big-league innings. On the other hand, he struggled with his control as a minor-league reliever. This might be fun.
