The San Jose Mercury News is reporting the new Pac-12 television network is a done deal, and will be launched in August of 2012. The report also posits that the new NBC-Comcast monolith is the frontrunner for a blockbuster conference TV deal. Serious question: Will this scuttle the plan to air Pac-12 games on FX? We can only hope, because anything cutting into our recommended daily allowance of Independence Day airings must be battled with every fiber of our being.
