On Friday night, Florida Marlins star Hanley Ramirez had to be helped off the field after sustaining an apparent injury to his left leg. The Astros’ Bill Hall initially appeared to do quite a number on Ramirez when he slid into him (the slide itself appeared to be a clean one), but there is good news to report: apparently he sustained a bone bruise and will be day-to-day. From the Palm Beach Post’s Joe Capozzi:
Hanley Ramirez Injury: Marlins Shortstop ‘Day-To-Day’ With Leg Bruise
Hanley Ramirez left game with a left leg bruise and is listed as day to day #Marlins
Deep breath, Marlins fans. Things looked far worse at the outset, but it sounds as though your franchise player is going to avoid a trip to the disabled list.
