Uncle Mo comes into the 2011 Wood Memorial as a heavy favorite, with many expecting the Kentucky Derby contender to easily handle the field, taking another step towards the big race. If the odds are any indication, Uncle Mo should win this one going away, and is the best horse in the Wood Memorial by quite a distance. No other horse holds odds better than 8-1, but Uncle Mo is currently better than even money to win the Wood Memorial at 1-5.
Uncle Mo Heavily Favored At 2011 Wood Memorial
What’s all the fuss about? Well, Uncle Mo has been dominant at every level, easily lapping the field at high profile events along the way.
Everywhere Uncle Mo has raced, he has dominated. He broke his maiden by 14 1/2 lengths. He won the Grade 1 Champagne by 4 3/4 and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile by 4 1/4 Uncle Mo has never been tested and he’s unlikely to find a challenge on Saturday.
If his career so far is any indication, the Wood Memorial should pose no problems and Uncle Mo should cruise.
Pole time for the Wood Memorial is 5:48 p.m. EDT. TVG and HRTV have the broadcast and a live stream will be available at the NTRA website.
