Former third round pick DE Alex Magee was arrested in Florida on Monday which is a familiar scene for the Bucs. Magee was picked up on marijuana charges after a police officer stopped his car, smelled the odor and conducted a search of the vehicle.
Alex Magee Becomes Latest Tampa Bay Buccaneer To Be Arrested
Magee becomes the latest Buc to land on the police’s radar.
Pro scouting director Shelton Quarles was picked up for DUI, as was Jay Kaiser, the assistant to head coach Raheem Morris. And then there's CB Aqib Talib who was allegedly involved in a shooting in Dallas earlier this offseason.
All those charges have come in the last two months.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said the league’s personal conduct policy, which governs things of this nature, will be enforced when the lockout resumes. It’s unclear how Goodell will handle members of the organization, like Quarles and Kaiser, who are not players.
If this lockout is ever lifted, we’ll find out the future of these members of the Bucs. Check out Bucs Nation for more on the situation.
