With the current labor uncertainty, the only football we may experience could be the Madden video game. Every year, EA sports generates a ton of buzz surrounding its successful football franchise. The 30th of August is like a national holiday for many football fans often resulting in a used sick day. This year’s game is sure to bring us ever closer to feeling like we are actually controlling a football game.

I really enjoyed following the coverboy bracket that resulted in a surprise winner, Peyton Hillis. However, the cover doesn't mean all that much as it usually is face-down on my T.V. stand. Most Madden fans are anxious to find out what new features will be added to the game. As of this point, the details are scarce but it appears they have made several appearance changes. The key additions are realistic team entries and 3D grass which are sure to give the games a more realistic feel.

The NFL Draft connection to Madden is the fact that you get to enjoy playing with your favorite teams new additions. I am sure there are tons of Panther fans excited to utilize Cam Newton's athletic ability and arm strength. How about the Broncos fans creating pressure with the explosive Von Miller? These are all major reasons why we love the Madden franchise. Keep checking back as we will continue to update everyone with Madden and NCAA video game info.
