Monday night’s Marlins-Mets game was a strange one for two reasons. First, tied 1-1 in the 11th inning, Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez allowed pitcher Burke Badenhop, who had exactly one major-league hit in his entire career, to hit for himself. Miraculously, Badenhop singled home the game-winning RBI.
