I Really ♥ Brandon Phillips

Two Thursdays ago, the Reds had the night off. Some random 14-year-old kid invited Brandon Phillips to his baseball game, via Twitter (here's Phillips' handle).

↵To everyone’s great surprise, Phillips actually showed up in the second inning, stayed for most of the game -- in which our random 14-year-old went 3-for-5 with two doubles -- and signed autographs for one and all.

↵There are other reasons to ♥ Brandon Phillips. But this is a pretty good one.
