‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage Dies In Car Accident After Suffering Heart Attack

Professional wrestling legend Randy Savage, best known as “Macho Man,” died at the age of 58 on Friday morning in a car accident. According to TMZ, who spoke with Savage’s brother, Savage lost control of his vehicle after suffering a heart attack while driving. The accident occurred around 10 a.m. ET near his home in Tampa, Florida.

“Macho Man” began his pro wrestling career in 1973, and joined the WWF in 1985, where he quickly rose to superstar status. He was a seven-time world champion during his nine year tenure with the WWF. In 1994, he left for WCW, where he wrestled 1999. After a short stint with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Savage retired in 2005.

Savage was married in 2010 and recently celebrated his one-year anniversary with his wife Lynn. He had no children, and is survived by one brother, Lanny Poffo.
