After giving up 10 goals in two games, the Boston Bruins had a game that was more attuned to how they want to win on Thursday night. They got an early goal from David Krejci, and that would be all they needed as they went on to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, 2-0. They currently lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Final series two games to one. They'll look to brig a 3-1 lead back to Beantown in today's Game 4 at TD Garden.
Bruins Vs. Lightning, Game 4: Lightning Look To Even The Series At Home
For Tampa Bay, they will try not to make today a live-or-die situation. Head coach Guy Boucher characterized this, saying "It's always a must-win. It's a must-win because it's the beginning of the series. It's a must-win if you didn't win the first game. It's a must-win because it's 1-1 or it's 2-0 for the opponent. They're all must-wins. It's a do or die every game. But it's a 4 out of 7. And one of these two teams has to win 4. It's not 2 and it's not 3. So we saw it in the first series, and they also saw it in their first series. So we were expecting a long series, and we're still expecting a long series." Dwayne Roloson will once again start in goal for the Lightning.
Boston is also looking to take things one game at a time. Head coach Claude Julien said "We don't want to live in the past. Yesterday was yesterday. Tomorrow is what we want to talk about. We want to live in the present. And today is about getting some good rest and making sure that tomorrow we're well rested, we've got the energy and the focus to do a job. That's what we've been doing since the start. And that's what's helped us get through it. The same thing in Montreal. We lost the first two games. We went to Montreal not thinking about the two losses but what we had to do that night. It's really helped us get through things, and that's what our guys are all about right now. So I don't have to worry about what you just asked, because we're not thinking that way." Tim Thomas is starting in goal for the Bruins yet again.
