Sevilla Sign German International Piotr Trochowski On Free Transfer From Hamburg SV
Trochowski, 27, has spent the last six seasons with Hamburg SV in the German Bundesliga. He made over 180 appearances for Hamburg scoring 20 goals. Trochowski has been capped by the German National team a total of 35 times, appearing in both Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010.
After the announcement that he would not be resigning with the club in the summer, Trochowski saw his playing time at the club dwindle to almost nothing. He’s a very versatile midfielder with the ability to play pretty much every position.
The official Sevilla website states that Trochowski has signed a five year contract with the club. They also include his contract buyout clause in the amount of €17 million should any club decide they want to pry the German international away from the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
