MLB TV Schedule, 5/26: Red Sox/Tigers, Cubs/Mets, Diamondbacks/Rockies

Weather permitting, there will be two nationally televised afternoon games in the Midwest today. Tonight, the surprising Diamondbacks go for a series sweep in Denver. All times Eastern.

1 p.m., MLB Network, FSN Detroit, NESN: Red Sox at Tigers. The Tigers were rained out of their game against the Rays on Wednesday. The weather doesn't look much better today. If they play this first of a four-game set, Alfredo Aceves will face Max Scherzer.

2:20 p.m., WGN, SNY: Mets at Cubs. The teams slogged through fog, mist, wind and eventually heavy rain before the game Wednesday night was stopped in the seventh inning. Today, Carlos Zambrano will face R.A. Dickey, in conditions not much better. Will it ever warm up in the Midwest and Northeast?

8:30 p.m., MLB Network, FSN Arizona, ROOT Sports: Diamondbacks at Rockies. Few expected Arizona to be a contender this year, but they stand only 2.5 games behind the first-place Giants as of the start of play Thursday. Micah Owings gets the start against Clayton Mortensen.
