Open Race Thread: NASCAR Nationwide Series Top Gear 300 | Charlotte Motor Speedway

So with the enthusiasm of last week’s Nationwide-only driver winner we head into this weekend’s race at Charlotte Motor Speedway filled with Sprint Cup-only drivers.

Don’t count on seeing a Nationwide-only driver win this week, unless something stupid happens or a Nationwide-only team gambles on some alternate pit strategy and it pays off with some late race caution or something like that.

With that being said expect to see some excitement during the race as drivers try to figure out their grooves and such. One driver to watch will be former F-1 star Kimi Raikkonen as he makes his Nationwide debut tonight.

It will also be interesting to see if it comes down to Elliot Sadler and Kevin Harvick for the win if Kevin backs off and lets Sadler win since those points are important to the Championship and Kevin owns the car Sadler is driving.

Okay, let’s get to the race now. Here is the starting line-up (via nascar.com).

See you on the other side, in the comment area of course!
