Scott Steckly overcame a late race pit problem to regain the lead that he had held throughout most of the race and went on to win the opening race of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season.

Steckly set an incredible pace and put most of the field a lap down prior to an air-gun jamming on Pit Row and it was the fact that there were so few cars on the lead lap that enabled to regain the lead with just a handful of laps left in the race.
The next NCTS race is set for next week at Circuit ICAR in Quebec, right about the same time this race will be televised on TSN!
