Jose Bautista Day-To-Day With Neck Inflammation

Could be a lot worse. Could be a lot better, I suppose, but you need to give muscle swelling some time to subside, and the important thing here is that Bautista is not going to go on the disabled list. He’ll just miss a small handful of games.

So Bautista’s got an inflamed neck, which is a weird thing to say, but nothing more sinister. He’ll probably have to sit out for a few days while the swelling goes away, which will leave a gaping hole in the Blue Jays lineup. But being without Bautista for a few days is a lot better than being without Bautista for a few weeks. So this is pretty good news.
