The Nashville Predators are in the second round of the NHL playoffs for the first time ever, and as the Canadian media descends into the area for Game 3 between the Preds and Vancouver Canucks, there's a certain circus atmosphere around the whole thing.
Canucks Vs. Predators, Game 3: Scene Shifts To Excited Nashville As Teams Battle For Upper Hand
Fans are more excited than they’ve ever been. It’s obviously the most important game in the history of the 13 year old franchise tonight. It’s just a matter of the home team coming out and playing like that.
They squeaked out of Vancouver with a win in Game 2 after tying the game late before winning in double overtime. They were lucky to get out with a win given the circumstances, but if you think of the way the Predators have to win this series, it seems like they actually have the upper hand through two games.
Nashville has a team built on defense and strong goaltending, and they held back the potent, offensively-driven Canucks in both Games 1 and 2. Vancouver scored just two goals in the two games and the Sedin twins were successfully kept off the scoreboard. If that can continue, you have to think the Predators will continue to have success.
