For your Memorial Day holiday viewing pleasure, there are several day games involving contending teams (and some others involving, well, teams fighting to get back into contention). All times Eastern.
Memorial Day MLB TV Schedule: Yankees/Athletics, Brewers/Reds

1 p.m., MLB Network, FSN North, FSN Detroit: Twins at Tigers. We think all the rain has finally passed through the Detroit area. Nick Blackburn will face Brad Penny.
↵↵
2:20 p.m., WGN, FSN Houston: Astros at Cubs. Ditto on the rain being done in Chicago. Aneury ("I'm Not Wandy") Rodriguez will pitch against Rodrigo Lopez, who is making his Cubs debut.
↵↵
4 p.m., YES Network, CSN California: Yankees at Athletics. The Athletics are tied for last in the AL West. But they are only 1.5 games out of first. Pitching matchup: Bartolo Colon vs. Trevor Cahill.
↵↵
7 p.m., MLB Network, FSN Wisconsin, FSN Ohio: Brewers at Reds. These teams were expected to fight it out for first place in the NL Central; right now, both trail the Cardinals. Chris Narveson faces Travis Wood tonight.
↵↵
7 p.m., CSN Chicago, NESN: White Sox at Red Sox. Wouldn't it be fun if the TV channels miked up Ozzie Guillen for this game? Jake Peavy pitches for the Pale Hose, Jon Lester for the Carmines.
