San Diego Padres second baseman Orlando Hudson is going on the Disabled List because of a strained hamstring. From MLB.com's Follow the Padres:

Thatcher is headed to 60 day DL, Hudson to 15 day DL and Forsythe is added to 40 man roster.
Thatcher is left-handed reliever Joe Thatcher, who's out for a long spell following shoulder surgery.
Forsythe is 24-year-old infielder Logan Forsythe. A third baseman until last season, Forsythe has thrived this season in his first triple-A action, batting .291 with power for Tucson. On the other hand, he's struck out 28 times in 22 games. But with Eric Patterson and Alberto Gonzalez the only other second-base candidates, Forsythe should get a chance to show his stuff.
Meanwhile, the Padres figure to miss Hudson’s glove and his legs, if not necessarily his bat. Oddly, Hudson has already matched his career high with 10 stolen bases this season, without being caught once. Somewhere, a fantasy-league owner is crying into his keyboard ...
