It’s Friday and we have another football empty weekend to look forward to but that doesn’t mean we can’t be entertained. While the league is in a lockout, Mocking the Draft continues to roll along by bringing you draft coverage and football related articles.

The majority feel that the Lions had a very good draft, but would it have looked better with Patrick Peterson? This report states that the Lions made some attempts to move into the top five in order to select LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson.
Many felt the Eagles would target a cornerback with their 1st round selection. However, they felt that the need along the offensive line was greater. ESPN does a good breakdown of the current Eagle cornerbacks.
The Chicago Bears made a surprise selection when they reached for Cal safety Chris Conte in the 3rd round. The Windy City Gridiron teamed with California Golden Blogs and did a great job discussing how Conte could fit within the Bears defense.
