After missing nearly a month of action with a groin strain, Vernon Wells is back with the Angels and looking for regular playing time in the outfield.

But with the Angels’ offense struggling -- they’ve scored 12 runs while losing five of the past six games -- Wells will be a welcomed addition to the middle of the order.
But maybe that was just a season-starting slump. Either way, the Angels have a lot of reasons to keep playing him. Millions of them, in fact. They might as well find out what they’re dealing with for the next few years.
