Syracuse basketball player Fab Melo is obviously not a fan of using the turn signal. Normally, this is not a problem. Normally, "not being a fan of using the turn signal" does not involve tearing someone else's out of their vehicle.
Syracuse’s Fab Melo Arraigned On Criminal Mischief Charge For Breaking Turn Signal
Melo, 20, is accused of reaching through the open driver’s side window of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, and breaking the turn signal control arm making the turn signal, headlight high beam control and windshield wiper control inoperable.
That, the law labels as criminal mischief, which is the charge on which Melo was arraigned Wednesday. The female SUNY Upstate student who was in the car at the time was issued a protective order. It’s not clear what her relationship to Melo is -- and Melo’s lawyer isn’t saying -- but the fact that the case is being referred to a domestic violence judge might or might not be something to consider. Beyond that, everyone is issuing the “no comments” you would expect.
Melo averaged two points and two boards per game for Syracuse in 2010-11.
