Ruud Van Nistelrooy has agreed to a contract with La Liga side Malaga CF. The Dutchman, 34, has signed a one year contract with an additional option year.

Van Nistelrooy featured in 19 matches last season for Hamburg in the German Bundesliga. He finished the season with only 7 goals in what was a very disappointing season for Hamburg.He'll look to regain his goal scoring form back in Spain. According to European football broadcaster Tim Caple, Van Nistelrooy is going to make €6 million! That's quite the price to pay for a player that turns 35 years old on July 1.
Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani has been pumping money into the club since he purchased it in July 2010. Last summer they signed Julio Baptista and Martin Demichelis. In January the club signed Diego Buonanotte. Van Nistelrooy is the first signing this summer, but several more are expected. Sur is reporting that the club are currently putting together an offer to Valencia for Joaquin.
