↵Schmidt added that society's 'look at me' attitude has "permeated the sports world" and created a lack of respect for the game.
↵"If you start taking the humility (out of the game) and the respect for the opposition starts to dwindle, you get instances like this Harper kid... It's a game and world that he plays in that doesn't care much about that."

↵Schmidt went on to lament that some of the neighborhood kids “don’t respect property rights, especially vis-à-vis my lawn.”
