Oregon CB Cliff Harris Cited For Speeding With Suspended License, Rental Car Paid For By Oregon Employee

Like Ohio State, Auburn and USC, the University of Oregon has a giant bulleye on its back right now as one of premiere programs in the nation. They’re already dealing with LaMichael James’ and Lache Seastrunk’s relationship with Willie Lyles.

It doesn't help matters with CB Cliff Harris gets pulled over doing 118 mph in a 65 zone on a suspended license.

It really doesn’t help matters that the rental car Harris was driving had been paid for by a University employee. The report from KEZI in Oregon sheds light on the whole situation.

“So, I rented the car for my own purposes on Friday. Cliff Harris and his licensed friend, who showed me his license, asked to borrow it and paid me the full amount in cash that I paid for the rental,” said the woman, who agreed to speak to KEZI, on condition of anonymity.

Harris reportedly had three other people in the car with him when he was clocked at 118 in a 65 mph zone. Two of the other occupants were reportedly Oregon football players while the other was not. None of the other three have been named.

This is a really bad time for any major football program to have high-profile violations out in the open. We’ll see how the University and Chip Kelly respond to all of this.
