On May 14, the New England Revolution's season seemed to be heading in all the right directions. They had just beaten the Vancouver Whitecaps and had claimed seven points in their last four matches. They had also just added Benny Feilhaber and Rajko Lekic. Instead, their season was just getting ready to head off the rails.
Major League Soccer (Mid)Week 14 Preview, Pick: New England Revolution Vs. Toronto FC
Since that May 14 win, the Revolution have lost four straight -- all by one goal -- and are now the third worst team in the league by Points Per Match. Feilhaber has since been injured and his availability is currently unknown, and Lekic has not scored in his past seven matches. Fortunately for them, they will have a chance to turn that around on Wednesday, when they host Toronto FC.
The Reds are coming off a tie against the Los Angeles Galaxy, their fifth tie in their last six matches. They are also mired in a seven-match winless streak, though. Alan Gordon, coming off a two-goal match against his former team, appears to be healthy again and now has four goals in his past five matches.
Details: Wednesday, 8 p.m. Pick: Toronto FC 1-0.
