Via some guy named Brandon Stroud at With Leather, we have come across this letter sent to baseball players in 1898 exhorting them to clean up their language. By “sent,” I mean “personally delivered,” because it was so vulgar that the postal service refused to mail it. Seriously. Unless obscene language tends to offend you, it’s worth a look.
