With former Barcelona B manager Luis Enrique joining AS Roma this summer, everyone was expecting a min-exodus of Barcelona reservists tromping off to join him in Italy. It's not as though they were going to have much hope of breaking into the first team, after all. Now it sounds like the first official move has happened, and it's 20-year-old Bojan Krkic making his way to Roma in return for the less-than-princely sum of €10M.
AS Roma Acquire Bojan Krkic
If you'll recall, Bojan was a bit of a sensation three years ago, breaking Lionel Messi's record as the youngest Barcelona player ever to see action in the league, but he's made absolutely no progress since those heady days and may have even backslid. Regardless, he's not getting into Pep Guardiola's side unless something very odd happens, so this move makes perfect sense for him. It also makes sense for Roma, who've acquired a highly talented prospect who should provide some attacking flair and fits in with what Enrique likes to do. Hopefully Bojan can find his feet in the Serie A.
