With Gruden's QB Camp airing on ESPN Wednesday, host Jon Gruden spoke about his subject Terrelle Pryor.
Leading up to TV special, Gruden praises Pryor
The former Raiders and Buccaneers was asked about Pryor at a University of Dayton golf event in Centerville, Ohio. Gruden was, as typical of him, full of praise for the former Ohio State quarterback.
“You can’t be more impressed with the guy physically,” Gruden said. “He’s all of six-foot-five, he’s 235 pounds. He’s a double threat. He’s one of those guys that can be a terror to defenses. He’s got some work to do, fundamentally. He knows that. But he does have rare talent.”
Because of Gruden’s praise, some like Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk seem to believing Pryor could warrant a first-round pick in the supplemental draft.
Of course, anyone who can think rationally and not overreact to everything knows better. After all, remember how much Gruden praised Ryan Mallett? Third-round pick. That may be the ceiling for Pryor's draft placement.
