There is a lot of rumors about what the new CBA could look like particularly a new full season of Thursday night football. The two sides are fighting over how to split a major slice of money and this development will only add more to the pot. Prime time football is a big seller and advertisers will be lining up to get on board with the Thursday night football. While I am always for more football it will get in the way of some good Thursday night College games.

If the rumors are true that Steve Smith could be had for a 3rd round pick the Panthers will be very busy with phone calls. Smith is one of the better receivers in the league and brings that big play threat. I would imagine several teams looking to contend will be willing to surrender that 3rd round pick.
