Day One of the 2011 NCAA Baseball Tournament is underway with the Regionals, and seven games have already started across the country. The Miami Hurricanes and Alabama Crimson Tide lead halfway through the two earliest games, while the Virginia Cavaliers and NC State Wolfpack lead their games early.

After a bit of a tough start, Miami starter Stephen Ewing has calmed down in the last couple of innings and he’s pitching well, forcing Jacksonville into a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the fifth. Leadoff hitter Zeke Devoss has been big so far, getting on base in both of his at-bats and using his speed to score twice. The other run has come from catcher Corey Janson, who hit a solo home run in the fifth. Through five innings, Miami leads Jacksonville 3-1.
