More final scores are rolling in from the opening day of the NCAA Baseball Tournament. On Friday night, Creighton won their opener with a 2-1 edging of Georgia. Our Georgia blog, DawgSports, laments a wasted effort from Bulldogs pitcher Michael Palazzone:
NCAA Baseball Scores Update: Creighton Survives Georgia, 2-1
This chance, like so many before it, was squandered, as the first two Georgia batters struck out in succession before the last batter flied out to left field to bring down the curtain on a disappointing outing.
