Albert Pujols Walkoff Homers: Rare Feat

Albert Pujols has hit walkoff home runs in each of his last two games, both against the Chicago Cubs.

↵↵This feat has been accomplished only two other times in baseball history. And it appears Pujols just wanted to even up the score with a former Cub.

↵↵

Albert Belle hit walkoffs for the Cleveland Indians on consecutive days, August 30 and 31, 1995.

↵↵And the other? The Cubs’ Ron Santo, on May 28 and 29, 1966. Even more eerily, Santo’s first was in the 12th inning, the second in the 10th, just like Pujols’ the last two days.

↵↵

The Cubs lost 103 games the year Santo did it. The Indians won 100 games the year Belle did it. The Cardinals may be in for a big year.
