NCAA Baseball Regionals 2011, Scores Update: Dallas Baptist, Cal Move On To Super Regional

The Dallas Baptist Patriots are in their sixth season as an NCAA Division I independent. For the first time, they have advanced to the super regional round of the NCAA Tournament.

Dallas Baptist batted around during an eight-run first inning and went on to hold off Oral Roberts 11-9 on Monday night to win the NCAA Fort Worth Regional.

They will face Cal in the best-of-three Super Regional. The Golden Bears beat the Baylor Bears 9-8 late Monday night. The Bears held an 8-5 lead before giving up four runs in the ninth inning.

Since Cal can’t host because of its facilities, Dallas Baptist will get to host. That series kicks off June 10th.

Only one spot remains in the Super Regionals. Texas A&M will play Arizona on Tuesday for the right to play Florida State in the next round.
