Teams That May Gamble on Terrelle Pryor

It wasn't much of a surprise, but Terrelle Pryor has officially announced that he will not return to Ohio State for his Senior season. Pryor's off the field issues have created a dark cloud over the Ohio State football program that will likely result in a minor down slope. Pryor's next step is entering the Supplemental Draft and hoping a NFL team will take a chance on his talents. Dan is working on a full scouting report on Pryor that will be posted in the coming days.

I want to look ahead at a few teams that might be willing to take a gamble on Pryor. Right now I have a total of 3 teams that may take a hard look at Pryor. These are teams not afraid to take a risk but also looking for some options at the quarterback position. They are also teams that are willing to work with Pryor and not expect him to contribute early in his career. I highly doubt anyone will use a pick higher than a 4th rounder but I expect he will get selected. Check out the list of teams after the jump!

1. Washington Redskins- The Redskins are a team in desperate need of adding a long term solution at the quarterback position. They decided against adding a quarterback in the 2011 NFL draft but might see this as a perfect opportunity. Pryor has a lot of the skills that Mike Shanahan likes in a quarterback with good mobility and a big arm. The Redskins are not afraid to use the Supplemental draft as evidence with their pick of Jarmon a few years ago.

2. Philadelphia Eagles- Andy Reid loves adding quarterbacks to his roster and isn't afraid to take a risk. The Eagles are very likely to trade Kevin Kolb leaving them a bit thin at the position. They have Reid favorite Mike Kafka but that doesn't mean the Eagles won't add another developmental quarterback.

3. Seattle Seahawks- Seattle is another team lacking a long term quarterback solution. Pryor's upside might be tough to pass up.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.
