Tiger Woods Never Received PEDs From Anthony Galea, According To Attorney

Last week, Anthony Galea pleaded guilty to smuggling HGH and other illegal drugs into the United States. Dr. Galea treated Tiger Woods for a short period of time, leading to speculation about whether or not Woods had ever been provided illegal performance enhancing drugs. However, the attorney for one of Galea's assistants stated on Tuesday that Woods never received illegal PEDs from Galea.

Rod Personius, an attorney for former Galea assistant Mary Anne Catalano, reportedly said, through an email:

“I tell you categorically that Tiger did not receive either banned or performance-enhancing drugs when treating with Dr. Galea.”

Galea, who is not licensed to practice medicine in the United States, has had a long list of high-profile athletes as his clients. Catalano claims that she saw Galea inject “at least seven athletes” with illegal PEDs, but that Woods was not one of those athletes.

Sentencing for Galea has not yet taken place. He could receive up to two years in prison for his crimes.
