Can it be nearly a month since we had entertaining, head-banging news about Dana Holgorsen to parse over on slow summer afternoons? Where does the time go? And why is somebody as fantastically named as WVU linebacker Branko Busick spending his free time scurrying around in apartments that do not belong to him?
West Virginia LB Branko Busick Arrested For Armed Robbery
Busick was arrested and charged with armed robbery in connection with a Monday incident at a Morgantown apartment, in which a local man was beaten with a gun. Previously in the mix for this season's starting middle linebacker spot, the redshirt sophomore will presumably now shift his focus to not being put back in jail.
[Update: Busick is out on bond. Hooray for a justice system that provides us with the following context: “A court official says Busick’s father posted a property bond. Nick Busick is the former WWF wrestler Big Bully Busick.” And just like that, the school has announced his dismissal from the program. Fare thee well, Brankster.]
In an unfortunate juxtaposition of quotes helpfully placed side by side by our West Virginia blog, the Mountaineers' maligned offensive line is promising to "mess up strong and hit someone and knock them over" this season.
