Open Race Thread: NASCAR Nationwide Series New England 200 | New Hampshire Motor Speedway

This should be an interesting race since New Hampshire Motor Speedway is virtually a flat track. It does have 2 - 7 degrees of progressive banking in the corners however, but ask any driver and they’ll tell you the track is flat.

And to make matters worse, this track is fast. If you don’t have good brakes here, you’ll find yourself in a whole lot of trouble.

Given the nature of this track look for those drivers that are good at road courses to do fairly well here, that is why Andrew Ranger is in the Go Canada Racing car (#67) instead of J.R. Fitzpatrick as he is an exceptional road racer. I expect to see him in the top 10 all day, and if Go Canada gave him a really good hot rod then expect to see him in the Top 5 near the end of the race.

Aside from my personal bias of cheering for Andrew I expect to see Busch, Harvick, Edwards and the Kes fighting it out for the win today. Ranger, however, is my dark horse pick with Allgaier not too far from him either - it is his wife’s birthday this weekend and he wants to get that win for her as a present!

Starting line-up after the jump. See you on the other side, in the comment area of course!

Oh, and if you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out Troy’s Nationwide race preview.
