MLB TV Schedule, 7/22: Cardinals/Pirates, Brewers/Giants

A full slate of games today, many pitting contending teams against each other. All times Eastern.

7 p.m., FSN Midwest, ROOT Sports Pittsburgh: Cardinals at Pirates. Raise your hand if you knew before the season started, that on July 22 the Pirates would be one game ahead of the Cardinals.

7 p.m., MLB Network, FSN South, FSN Ohio: Braves at Reds. Jair Jurrjens, possibly heading for the NL Cy Young Award, tries to shut down the Cincinnati offense. MLB Network viewers in Atlanta and Cincinnati will see the Padres/Phillies game.

7 p.m., NESN, ROOT Sports Seattle: Mariners at Red Sox. This would appear to be a mismatch; Boston is 59-37, Seattle 43-55. Tonight's pitching matchup: King Felix Hernandez against John Lackey -- favors the Mariners.

10 p.m., FSN Wisconsin, CSN Bay Area: Brewers at Giants. The Giants are four games up on the Diamondbacks in the NL West; the Brewers enter tonight tied with the Pirates for first in the NL Central.
