NFL lockout: Top UDFA tight ends

With the NFL lockout coming to an end soon, undrafted players from the 2011 NFL Draft will finally be able to sign with teams. This weekend we'll continue to look at some of the top available players your team may be considering.

The undrafted tight ends feature two players who weren't drafted for very different reasons. But if either Weslye Saunders or Zack Pianalto can stay on the field, they could have successful NFL careers.

Zack Pianalto | 6’3, 250 pounds | North Carolina
Pianalto never really got a fair chance as a senior after breaking his fibula in October. Injuries have held Pianalto back throughout his career, but his talent is evident. He has good hands and surprising quickness to get open.
Weslye Saunders | 6’5, 272 pounds | South Carolina
Once considered a top-tier player, Saunders was dismissed from South Carolina and his draft chances disappeared. As a player, he has everything you want in a tight end other than speed. He has soft, consistent hands and is good as a blocker. If his head is right, a team could get a steal in Saunders.

More:

Kyle Adams | 6'5, 251 pounds | Purdue
Preston Dial | 6'3, 237 pounds | Alabama
Cameron Graham | 6'4, 253 pounds | Louisville
Charlie Gantt | 6'4, 255 pounds | Michigan State
Allen Reisner | 6'2, 248 pounds | Iowa
Andre Smith | 6'5, 269 pounds | Virginia Tech
