Sad things:
Some Things About The Seattle Mariners’ Losing Streak
- ↵↵After losing their 16th consecutive game Monday night, the Mariners are now tied for the 17th-longest losing streak in baseball history since 1901.
- ↵The Mariners are the only team with a reigning Cy Young champion to have such a long losing streak.↵On July 5th, the Mariners were 2.5 games out of first place in the A.L. West. 20 days later, they’re 15.5 games out.
- ↵The M’s still have two games to play against the Yankees before a three-game series against the Rays. A losing streak of 20 or more games is entirely possible.
